This American Tree Sparrow was
taken at a distance of about 50 feet.
One thing I like about the
combination of the Coolpix 5400
and the Televue 40mm eyepiece is
the depth of field on more distant
shots for a scenic composition. The
picture to the left is uncropped and
downsized.
American Tree Sparrows are about
6.25 inches long.

cropped from the
photograph above and
downsized to 640x438.
Even though the bird looks
relativelty small in the
picture above, an entirely
different composition can
be made by cropping if the
purpose is for monitor
display.
